The evening brought both sides into one room: the people who build AI infrastructure and the people who build their products on it. Two talks covered the infrastructure, and two use cases showed what it is for. Both depend on the same two things: sovereignty, because company processes and personal shopping data belong under European rules, and speed, because an agent runs many steps for each task and a shopper does not wait.

We used the two days in Berlin above all to listen. AI is everywhere, but the conversations became useful where buzzwords turned into concrete requirements: access to high-performance AI infrastructure, control over data and applications, the freedom to use different models without vendor lock-in, and a setup that works in everyday enterprise operations. These conversations show which topics drive the market right now, and where sovereign, high-performance inference makes a concrete contribution.

Germany's Federal Minister for Digital, Karsten Wildberger, set the tone: "Sovereignty is not isolation. It is openness from a position of strength." Across the floor, the conversation had moved from whether to adopt sovereign AI to how quickly it can be deployed. Infercom exhibited at the Luxembourg Pavilion and met with Stéphanie Obertin, Luxembourg's Minister for Digitalization.
